How is Bereshit different from a traditional ulpan or a language app?
Ulpan is a good start, and apps help with vocabulary. Bereshit teaches Hebrew as a system: the Binyanim (verb patterns) and roots, so you can build your own sentences instead of memorizing phrases. Every text and exercise is original and written for life and work in Israel today.
I work in Israel. Will this help me at work?
Yes. Alongside everyday Hebrew, the courses include workplace situations – meetings, emails and workplace culture. If work is your main goal, see Hebrew for Work.
What is the format of the courses?
All courses are live online on Zoom: 20 sessions of 50 minutes each. Groups have up to 8 students; VIP is 1-on-1 and built around your goals. Everyone starts with a free placement test.
Group or VIP – what's the difference?
VIP gives you a fully tailored syllabus and your own pace. Groups (up to 8 students) add conversation practice with peers. Both use the same Bereshit curriculum.
Who are the teachers?
Mor and a team of teachers who specialize in Hebrew as a second language – not general tutors. Mor started teaching Hebrew in 2010 as an intensive Hebrew instructor for new olim at the IDF's Machve Alon base.
Do you train teams at companies?
Yes. We run group programs for HR departments, global companies and non-profits, and provide attendance and progress reports for tuition reimbursement. See For Companies.
How much does it cost?
Group courses are ₪2,190 and VIP 1-on-1 is ₪3,799 for the full 20 sessions. The Alphabet self-study course is ₪180. Payment is arranged directly after your free call.
What is your cancellation policy?
Private lessons can be rescheduled or canceled with at least 24 hours' notice; later changes are charged in full. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase as long as no lessons have taken place. Full details are in the cancellation policy.
What if I'm late to a live session?
Sessions start on time. If you haven't joined within 15 minutes, the session counts as a no-show and is charged in full. Let us know about schedule conflicts as early as you can.
